Course Content: This is a three day course to teach health care providers techniques for the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. The format is integrative, lab centric, and experiential. Participants explore intravaginal and intrarectal manual techniques to treat myofascial, ligamentous, visceral, neural and osseous restrictions of the pelvic floor. I will present the latest research on brain mapping during arousal and orgasm. We will also cover historical, cultural and societal perceptions of the vagina.
- Discover what a healthy pelvic floor feels like through palpation, movement and breath work.
- Gain proficiency in self-care so that you can authentically teach your patients
- Develop confidence and skill treating intravaginally and intrarectally
Upon completion of this course participants will be able to:
- Be conversant with the muscular, ligamentous, fascial and neural anatomy of the pelvic floor, vagina and rectum
- Demonstrate proficiency with location, palpation and treatment of these structures, including identification and treatment of trigger points
- Describe the mechanics of breath that include both the respiratory and pelvic diaphragms
- Understand the components of a physical therapy evaluation and treatment plan for the following:
- Introital imbalance
- Prolapse
- Bladder and Urethral issues
- Cervix malposition
- Pelvic pain
- Scars and adhesions (C section, hysterectomy, appendectomy)
- Birth related PF trauma
- Sacrococcygeal dysfunction (mobilization intrarectally)
- Understand the neurology and physiology of female orgasm
- Explore the cultural and societal impact on self-perception of the vagina
- Be familiar with the body of evidence based research for the manual treatment of myofascial dysfunction

Student testimonies:
“This has been the best PF/internal course I have ever taken (I have been to a lot)”
“Lauren Rose has created an amazing course through her knowledge, skills and mindfulness”
“Amazing addition to my tools, so very valuable, thank you for sharing the work”
“There were a lot of AHA moments during the training”
“Outstanding, relevant course material”
How does this course compare to others you have taken:
“Superior to them”
“The most integrated”
“Much more hands on”
“Connecting the internal work with the visceral and neural work”
“Far more detailed”
“The internal work helped me appreciate the complexity and intricacy of interrelated structures-viscerally, neutrally, musculoskeletally.”

STROMATICS/VISCERAL MOBILIZATION I
Dates: April 16-18, 2021
Location: Peirsman CranioSacral Academy, Tijeras, NM
In this class we will explore visceral anatomy and learn how to listen to and gently mobilize both the organs and their surrounding tissues. Restoring visceral mobility promotes optimal health for the body's vastly intelligent systems: the musculoskeletal, vascular, neural and digestive. We will explore the peritoneum, liver, gallbladder, stomach, and small and large intestines. We will learn to palpate and discern emotional/energetic patterns from physical restrictions.
STROMATICS/VISCERAL MOBILIZATION II
Dates: April 23-25, 2021
Location: Peirsman CranioSacral Academy, Tijeras, NM
In this class we will investigate the kidneys and ureters, bladder and uterus, and the lungs and heart. We will build and deepen our understanding of the viscera to include the urogenital and respiratory systems.
